When I was 16... two years before starting "The Dukes of Hazzard" I weighed 245 pounds and had a 44 in waist. Fat teen. An actor, yes. But, as my brother so delicately put it as I wolfed down my second elephant ear at Six Flags Over Georgia "How many obese movie stars do you know?"
Two months later I had shed 50 pounds and was down to a 36 inch waist. Bravo! Tough love wins almost every time. Thanks Bob.
I kep that weight off until the winter on 2010. I was doing Desperate Housewives and had a costume fitting and a physical. 228 pounds and a 38 inch waist. Yikes! After kkeepng that weight off for over 30 years it looked like it was coming back!
I wanted nothing to do with it. My plan was to join a gym and shed the weight ASAP.
Then I saw the ad for P90X on TV. When the guy said "Do your best and forget the rest." I was intrigued. When he said "Just press play." I had to have it.
I am now 197 and have a 34 inch waist. I am arguably in BETTER shape and health than I was when I did Dukes and have helped around 100 people loose a collective 2017 pounds in the last nin months or so!
I am proud of that.
So proud that I have FBed and TWted about how you can do the same thing if you are in need of loosing a little or a lot. If you have tried gyms and haven't lost what you thought you would or gotten in better cardiac shape than you currently are.
I do that because I know what it's like to be heavy and I know what its like to be out of breath and know what its like to workout and get no results.
Now the point of the rant -
Why do people give me crap on FB and TW when I put something out there that I believe in so much that I am sure can help them? This shit works! It's hard, yeah... but it works wonders. I belioeve in it and I want to share it (not to mention the fact that people who do it actually make money woithout being celebrities. Work the program and the business and your life will change).
See... I sound like a salesman. Guess that's it.
I'm excited. I'm in the best shape of my life. I want to share it.
It's a free country... right?
